About us

Chris

At 14 years old, Chris didn't think that he was being taught at school was for him so he stopped going.  Instead he went onto Dartmoor.  

There he learned more than any class room could teach him by self taught navigation across open moorland, rock climbing,  river crossings, basic mountaineering etc using the books of Chris Bonnington, Wilfred Thessinger, Lofty Wiseman, etc.  He made a few of mistakes, and every now and then got into some right gnarly situations.  Having enough of this, his parents sent the young 15 year old on a 2 week Alpine climbing introduction course - probably because they were concerned that the self teach approach needed some direction and formality about it - and it did just that.   Armed with an refined and brand new skills set, he set his sights on bigger things, bigger mountains and bigger wild open spaces.

A career serving as a Royal Marine Commando, interspersed with his own micro expedition to the Alps, Greenland, the High Arctic, North America, Africa and the Middle East, Chris's  thirst for exploration and outdoor learning never waned as he just wants to learn, see and experience more .  

Today this continues to be his main focus, as being able to work, instruct and learn with others on how we manage ourselves in the planets natural environment is as he puts it, an essential lifestyle, earthy duty - he describes himself as just someone who wants to look at the view from the top of that mountain, whats around the next corner of that remote valley or beyond that horizon .

Chris is a Mountain Leader, Rock Climbing Instructor, Survival Instructor, Yacht-master Offshore Sail & Power, Expedition Leader

Notable experience include Cassin Route on Piz Badile, Walker Spur on Grand Jorasses, P Allain Route on Les Drus, Cordier Pillar on Grande Chamoz, 3 week sole expedition on Greenland Ice cap, UK Circumnavigation under Sail, Cave Diver, IRATA Level 3 trainer, Nuclear Decommissioning Advisor, Boat Recycling Consultant. 

Kerry

Kerry has been at the forefront of senior corporate talent acquisition for most of her working career.  Creating her own businesses and networks through a variety of industrial sectors, Kerry has developed a truly unique skill of identifying what is required to achieve success.

As an escape from the fast paced world of corporate business, Kerry looked to the hills and mountains of the UK, Finland, Iceland and Spain as a means of decompression coupled with a unique sense of adventure to be shared with others.  Her endeavors have enable many colleagues and friends to join her on her own self designed expeditions within the UK and abroad.

Having a fundamental appreciation of our world, Kerry's ability to push her limits whilst being aware that control of the situation is vital to a successful outcome, has led to many others enjoying new experiences and finding new avenues in life to explore.  Skills learnt in the corporate world coupled the relaxation and exhilaration through exploring the great outdoors has led Kerry to put her expertise into Adventure planning, enabling and success.
